You've lost 20 lbs of the 40 lbs you want to lose and you sabotage by eating pizza one night. Then you order french fries instead of salad for your grilled chicken nuggets at Chick-Fila. The next thing you know, you've lost all focus and you are making bad food choices at almost every meal while telling yourself, "I'll get started again tomorrow". Tomorrow doesn't come but the pounds do.
Here's another way to look at it.
Imagine you are driving from Indianapolis to St. Louis. Half way there you have a flat tire. You get out of your car, kick the tire and get back in the car and sit.You get back out, walk around the car, think about changing the tire and moving on toward your desination. But, something keeps you from taking the action to get your tire changed and back on the road to St. Louis.
You have let a flat tire sideline you from your goal of going to St. Louis. The flat tire represents an emotional issue that keeps you from acheiving your weight loss goals.
Here are some possible emotional reasons for sidelining you.
I'm not disciplined.
It's too hard.
I can't do it.
I've always been fat.
Here are some forgiveness statements that can help you get back on the road to success.
I forgive myself for believing I don't have the discipline to reach my weight loss goals.
I forgive myself for believing achieving my weight loss goals is too hard.
I forgive myself for believing I can never lose all the weight I need to reach my goal weight.
I forgive myself for believing I can't lose enough weight to reach my goal.
I forgive myself for believing I will always be fat.
I forgive myself for believing I am unworthy of reaching my goals.
I love and accept myself even when I'm afraid I can never lose enough weight to reach my weight loss goals.
I love and accept myself even when I'm afraid I will gain all the weight back I already lost and I'll have to start all over again.
Without this pattern I am free to love my body at any weight.
Without this pattern I am free to ditch my weight loss goals or reach my weight loss goals.
These are just a few statements that can help you get through that flat tire on the side of the road, Ummm I mean reach your weight loss goal.
You are beautiful, capable and worthy. Change that tire and get back on the road to weight loss.
I believe in you!
